Senate February 21. 1825. -

[Order for Notice to the Governor of the election of Major Generals]

On motion of Mr. Campbell, Ordered that the Secretary of State be directed to notify the Governor that the two Houses of the Legislature, on the 19th day of February current, elected Stephen Berry Esq. of Denmark, Major General of the sixth Division; and Joseph Locke Esq of Bloomfield, Major General of the eighth Division, of the Militia of this State: sent down for concurrence: concurred. -

Bill additional to an Act prescribing the mode of taking depositions,” passed to be engrossed in the House, came up for concurrence, and was read twice and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the House. -

Bill in addition to an Act providing for the payment of costs in criminal prosecutions,” and

Bill providing for holding the Supreme Judicial Court in the County of Cumberland,” passed to be engrossed in the House, came up for concurrence, and were read once and committed and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading. -

[Resolve]

Resolve authorizing the Court of Sessions for Washington County, to borrow a certain sum of money,” came up, and the House insist upon their vote by which they passed the same to be engrossed: Read, and committed to Messrs. Dunlap, Campbell and Shepard. -

[Bill]

Bill to incorporate the Maine Iron Company,” was read a 2d. time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the House. -
