The order of the 23d. instant proposing certain questions to the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court came from the Senate indefinitely postponed - and the House nonconcur and refer the same to Messrs. Harris of Portland, Herrick of Lewiston and Alden of Northport

Resolve in relation to persons settled on the Public Lands without title was read a 2d. time and passed to be Engrossed sent up for concurrence

Report on Petition of George Lermond & others was taken up and the House having received & accepted the report of their Conferees - adhere to their vote indefinitely postponing the same sent up for concurrence

The Committee on Engrossed Bills report as duly Engrossed Bill to incorporate the Parsonsfield Mining Company which was passed to be Enacted sent up for concurrence

The same Committee also report as duly Engrossed Resolve making provision for completing the Baring & Houlton Road in favor of Nathaniel Davis which were severally finally passed sent up for concurrence

Bill an additional act regulating the duties of Inspectors of Beef Lumber & other articles was read & the House reconsider their former votes on this subject & postpone the Bill indefinitely in concurrence with the Senate

Bill additional act to the several acts regulating the taking of salmon shad & alewives in the Kennebec river was read a 3d. time the amendment of the Senate rejected and the Bill passed to be Engrossed without amendment - sent up for concurrence
