52 Saturday January 14, 1832 Met according to adjournment

On motion of Mr. Gerrish, Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of making provision by law that Executors and Administrators on estates of deceased persons be authorized and required to pay all taxes which may be legally assessed on the Real as well as the personal estates of such deceased persons until the same is disposed of to pay the debts and legacies – or distributed among the heirs and legatees, and that they be allowed to charge the same in their administration accounts - Also to inquire into the expediency of making provision by law giving collectors of State Town and County Taxes a lien on each piece of land a parcel of real estate of Resident Proprietors for the amount of the taxes legally assessed thereon for the term of ------ years from the time such collectors receive their tax bills in which said estate is taxed – and report by Bill or otherwise – sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Bronson, Ordered that the Committee on the Pay Roll, be required to make up the pay of John Pitts of Belgrade to the 13th of January 1832 who has been refused a seat in this House – read and passed.

The House resuming the consideration of the Order under discussion when the House adjourned yesterday, and the motion to postpone the same indefinitely, was negatived and the order passed.

On motion of Mr. Bean of Readfield, Ordered that the Committee on Agriculture be instructed to
