Met according to adjournment.

On motion of Mr Folsom of Eastport Ordered that the Senate be requested to take from their last years files the petition of Aaron Hobart of Edmunds & send the same to this House - read & passed. Send up.

The returns of the several Banks, made to the Secretary of States Office, came down referred in Senate with the accompanying papers to the Committee on Banks & Banking, for concurrence and the House concurred.

On motion of Mr Boutelle of Waterville Ordered, That the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals be instructed to inquire into the expediency of passing a law prohibiting any person after being notified, from riding or driving a horse over any Toll Bridge within this State, or over any other Bridge more than two hundred feet long & covered with timber & plank faster than a walk - read & passed - Sent up for concurrence

Bill - additional Act to incorporate the Maine Stage Company was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at ten o clock assigned for a third reading.

Bill, to incorporate the town of Appleton, was read 1st & 2d time and tomorrow at ten o clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Resolve authorizing Julia B Jones to convey real estate was read & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.
