[Message to the House proposing a convention to supply the vacancy in the Senate] On motion by Mr. Emerson Ordered that a Message be sent to the House of Representatives proposing a Convention tomorrow at 11 o'clock for the purpose of electing a Senator to supply the vacancy occassioned [occasioned] by the decease of the Honorable Nathaniel Howe, Senator elect from the District of Oxford and informing them that John Grover and Daniel Hutchinson are the constitutional Candidates.
[Order respecting the returns of certain incorporations] Order of the House that the Committee on Banks and Banking be instructed to inquire into the expediency of requiring by law that all incorporations which are now required to make periodical returns of their standing and situation, insert in said returns the names of all debtors to said corporations and their sureties with the amount due from each the time when such debt was contracted and when it is due. was read and passed in concurrence.
