302 [Yeas] Yeas Messrs. Davee, Dole, Dunlap, Goodwin, Hall, Harding, Hutchings, Ingalls, Megquier, Pike, Steele and Sweat - 12. [Nays] Nays Messrs. Drummond, Fuller, Gardner, Hutchings and Kingsbury - 5. The Senate then reconsidered the vote whereby said Bill was passed to be engrossed. Mr. Megquier then moved to amend said Bill by striking out all after the word "made" in the twenty-second section, which question being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative as follows - to wit: [Yeas] Yeas - Messrs. Davee, Dole, Drummond, Dunlap, Gardner, Hall, Harding, Hutchings, Hinds, Kingsbury, Megquier, Pike and Sweat - 13. [Nays] Nays - Messrs. Fuller, Goodwin, Hutchinson and Steele - 4. [Amendment proposed] The same gentleman moved to further amend the said Bill by striking out the words "five years" in the last proviso of the twenty-eighth section and inserting in lieu thereof the words "one year" on which question the yeas and nays were ordered and the question was decided in the affirmative, as follows, to wit" [Yeas] Yeas - Messrs. Davee, Dole, Drummond, Dunlap, Gardner, Goodwin, Hall, Harding, Hutchings, Kingsbury, Megquier, Pike, Steele and Sweat - 14 [Nays] Nays - Mr. Fuller - 1.
