Ordered that Two Hundred copies of the Land agents report be printed for the use of the Legislature - sent up for concurrence

On motion of Mr. Cole of Paris Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of amending the feebill so as to allow to the prevailing party no more than twenty miles travel unless such party or his agent or attorney shall actually travel more than twenty miles to attend land to said action in which such cost is taxed - Sent up for concurrence

On motion of Mr. Parks of Bangor Ordered that the Secretary of State be directed to purchase for the use of the members of the Legislature 250 copies of the Fifth Report of the Prison Discipline Society provided the same can be obtained at an expense not exceeding twenty five cents per copy sent up for concurrence

The House resumed the consideration of the order to increase the number of the Committee on Apportionment of Representatives &c so as to take two from each County - and the question upon increasing the number of said Committee was taken by yeas & nays as follows to wit Yeas 60 Nays 79 (For yeas & nays see page 406)

Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of passing a law providing for the establishment or renewal of lines between owners of lands with leave to report by Bill or otherwise sent up for concurrence

Petition of Grocers, Victuallers, & Innholders of the town of Portland that all laws now in force obliging them to pay for a license to retail liquors &c was read & referred to Messrs. Mitchell of Portland. Shapleigh of Berwick & Magoun of Bath -
