The House reconsider the vote whereby they passed to be engrossed, Resolve in favor of John G. Deane and Resolve in favor of Edward Kavanagh and refer the same to a select committee of the House consisting of Messrs. Lake, McCrate and Newell.

Bill relative to fees taxed in Courts of Justices of the Peace, was read a second time and tomorrow at nine o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Petition of Joseph Porter and thirty seven others for an Agricultural Society in the County of York, came from the Senate referred to the Committee on Agriculture for concurrence and the House concurred.

Petition of Louisa Frizzell and Sarah Frizzell for change of name was read and referred to the Committee on Change of Names.

On motion of Mr. Hamlin, Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of so altering the laws respecting Dower so as to allow to widows the right of dower in wild lands, quarries of stone, marble and lime and mines of coal and mineral ore, with leave to report by bill or otherwise, sent up for concurrence.

Resolve respecting the compensation of members of the House of Representatives and their Clerks, having been read once was postponed till the first day of April next.
