Resolve in aid of a road in Penobscot county was read a second time and committed to Messrs. Boutelle, Keith and Thayer.

Mr. Hunton, from the committee on Literary Institutions, reported a Resolve in favour of Waterville College, which was read and ordered to lie on the table, and ordered that three hundred copies of said Resolve and accompanying report be printed for the use of the Legislature.

Resolve authorizing the Governor and Council to settle the claims of Erastus Foote and John Ruggles, reported by the committee on Claims was read once and Monday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a second reading.

The petition of Jeremiah Bradley and others to be incorporated into an Agricultural Society, was read and referred to the committee on Agriculture, in concurrence.

The petition of John Gardner and others to be incorporated into a Railway Company was read and referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, in concurrence.
