On motion of Mr.Norton of Canaan, Ordered That the Senate be desired forthwith to join the committees appointed on the part of this House "on the Judiciary" "on the incorporation of towns" "on the census & valuation" "on the Canada Road" & " on the Mettanawcook Road "- read & passed.

Mr. Chandler of Calais has leave of absence after this day during the remainder of the session.

Petition of William Pike of Calais for authority to receive to his own use, the amount of certain trespasses upon a tract of land purchased by him of the Land Agent, was read & referred to the Committee on State Land. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Jonathan Tallman & al of Dresden to be annexed to Richmond, was read & referred to the Committee on the incorporation of towns - sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Jacob Ludwig & al of Waldoboro' members of the German Protestant Society in said town to have certain of their doings made valid, was read & referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill in addition to an act to establish the Cumberland & Oxford Canal Corporation, reported with sundry amendments which were adopted was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
