Bill additional relating to the side booms on Androscoggin river came up from the House amended. The Senate recede from their vote passing said Bill to be engrossed, adopt the amendment proposed by the House and pass the same to be engrossed as amended, in concurrence.
Resolve providing for the choice of Electors of President and Vice President reported by the committee on engrossed Bills as correctly engrossed was finally passed.
Mr. Emerson, from the committee on Banks and Banking, reported leave to withdraw on the petition of William McLellan in behalf of Thomaston Bank and a motion was made by Mr. Hodgman to strike out the words "have leave to withdraw their petition" and insert in lieu thereof the words, "be referred to the next Legislature; which question being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the negative, as follows, to wit, Yeas - Messrs. Bridgham, Groton, Lithgow, Megquier and Merrill - 5. Nays - Messrs. Boutelle, Burnham, Dunlap, Eastman, Emerson, Goodwin, Gibson, Hunton, Scammon, Smith, Sweat, Thayer, Thompson and Webb - 14 Said report was then accepted. Sent down for concurrence.
