318 Friday March 9, 1832.

A message was received from the House of Representatives informing the Senate that the House had reconsidered their vote passing to be engrossed "an act in addition to an act to provide for the laying out and making provision for the repair and amendment of highways and for the appointment of County Commissioners, amended said Bill and ordered the same to be reengrossed. The Senate recede from their vote passing said Bill to be engrossed adopt the amendment proposed by the House and order the same to be reengrossed in concurrence.

Mr. Burnham from the Joint Select Committee to whom was referred a communication from the Secretary of State in relation to the number of Clerk employed in his office made a report asking to be discharged from the further consideration of the subject, read and accepted and the Committee accordingly discharged. Sent down for concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Hodgman, ordered that when the Senate next adjourn, it adjourn without day.

A written message was received from the Governor transmitting a Report of Council in relation to the Secret Sessions of the Legislature. Read and sent down.
