XXV Legislature of this State and is herewith communicated for your information. Council Chamber February 13, 1832 Saml. E. Smith

To the Senate and House of Representatives, I have received from his excellency the Governor of Massachusetts the accompanying copy of a Report, Preamble and Resolves, adopted by the General Court of that Commonwealth, expressing its sentiments in reference to the contested line of the North Eastern Boundary of the United States, the opinion and recommendation of His Majesty, the King of the Netherlands thereon, and the rights of Massachusetts and Maine, which would be affected by adopting that recommendation. A copy of the Report of Gorham Parks, the Agent appointed to communicate to the Government of Massachusetts the Resolves of this Legislature relating to that subject, is also herewith transmitted. By these documents it appears that the Agent has effected the object of his mission, and discharged the duties incidentally connect therewith, in a prompt and satisfactory Manner. It cannot but be highly gratifying to the Legislature and people of this State to learn the readiness and cordiality with which our Parent Commonwealth has complied with the request of this Government by cooperating with us in the adoption of measures calculated to effect a favourable decision of the question respecting our North Eastern Boundary now pending
