On motion of Mr Davee, Orderered [Ordered] that a Message be sent to the House of Representatives, proposing a Convention of both Branches of the Legislature in the Representatives chamber on Monday next at twelve o'clock for the purpose of coming to a choice of a Treasurer of State, which message was delivered by the Secretary.

A message was received from the House of Representatives concurring in the foregoing proposition.

The petition of A. Richardson and others for a division of the town of Mount Desert, " of Ezra H. Dodge and als. for same The Remonstrance of the Inhabitants of the town of Freeport against the petition of Vincent Mountfort and others, " of John Rich and others against the division of the town of Mount Desert were severally read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on Division of Towns in concurrence.

The petition of Jesse W. Mighles and others that the Legislature would take into consideration the importance of anatomical science. Read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee who have under consideration the petition of Hosea Rich, in concurrence.
