149 Bill in addition to an Act incorporating the Hallowell Horse Ferry Company, Bill to incorporate the Penobscot Stage Company, Bill to incorporate the Somerset Horticultural Society, Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of the Island Wharf, Bill for the relief of John Wood, Resolve for the benefit of Herman Nye were severally read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

The Select Committee to whom was committed an Act to prevent the destruction of Fish in East Machias waters, reported the same as amended, which was read a second time and passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr. Talbot from the joint standing Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, reported reference to the next Legislature on the petitions of Jonathan C. Everett and others, and John Gardiner and others, which were severally read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

The same Gentleman from the same Committee reported leave to withdraw on the petition of the Inhabitants of the town of Liberty. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr. Williamson from the joint standing Committee on the Judiciary to whom was referred a Bill additional fixing salaries for Judges and Registers of Probate, made a Report recommending an indefinite postponement of the same.
