158 Petition of Abner L. Lamb for change of name was read and referred to the Committee on Change of Names.

Petition of Bradley Blackman and others for assistance to build a bridge across Great Works Stream in Plantation No. 7 was read and referred to the Committee on State Roads. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of inhabitants of the county of Penobscot for a new county to be called Piscataquis was read and referred to the Committee on Incorporation of Towns. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of John Bodwell, laid on the table by Mr. Shapleigh, was read once and committed to a select committee of this House, consisting of Messrs. Shapleigh, Smith of Westbrook and Ludden.

Bill in addition to the several acts to regulate the jurisdiction and proceedings of Courts of Probate, laid on the table by Mr. Williams, had two several readings and was upon motion, referred to the Committee on the Judiciary- sent up for concurrence.
