Petition of Samuel Lowder [?] for an additional act, incorporating Meadow Broch Dam Company was read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes Bridges, and Canals in concurrence.
Order from the House instructing the Committee on State Lands to inquire into the expediency of providing for the sale of lands, reserved in the township of land sold by this State, or which hereafter may be sold, and the awaits of said Sale, to be placed at interest for the use of said townships, wherein the reserved lands are situated, whenever such townships shall or may be incorporated under such regulations as may be deemed proper, to report by Bill or otherwise; read and passed in concurrence.
Report of the Committee on Claims, on petition of inhabitants of Plantation of Waldo, in referring said petition to the Committee on State Roads, came up from the House referred to a joint Select Committee consisting on the part of the House, of the Delegation from the County of Waldo, with such as the Senate may join. The Senate nonconcur the House in said reference, and insist on their vote accepting the report of the Committee, in referring the same to the Committee on State Roads. Sent down for concurrence.
The Committee on the Judiciary reported reference to the next Legislature, on petition of the town of Phillips, read and accepted, in concurrence.
The Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals reported leave to withdraw on petition of Edward Howe and others, read and accepted in concurrence.
