Friday, January, 25. 1833.

The petition of Rufus Dwinal and others to build a Public House in Bangor. Read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on Manufactures. Sent down for concurrence.

The petition of Franklin Glazier and others for an alteration of the Militia. Read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on the Militia. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr Boutelle from the Joint Standing Committee to whom was referred an order directing them to enquire into the justice and expediency of providing by law that the religious sentiments of any person who shall hereafter be offered as a witness in the Judicial Courts of this State or in the course of judicial proceedings shall not be made the subject of inquiry or investigation, nor the testimony of such person be rejected or discredited on account of his opinion in matters of Religion &c; made a Report, asking leave to be discharged from the further consideration of the same. Read and accepted, and referred together with the order, to Messrs. Randall Emerson and Howard, with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives instructing the Joint Standing Committee on State Lands to enquire into the expediency of authorizing the Land Agent of this State to sell Township numbered Four, in the Fifth Range, being west from the east line of the State of Maine to George Gillis, with leave to report by Resolve or otherwise. Read and passed in concurrence.
