Saturday February 9. 1833.

Mr Hamlin from the Committee on Claims, to whom was referred the petition of Jacob Clark and Levi T. Brown; made a report asking leave to be discharged from further consideration of the same and recommending a reference to the Committee on State Lands. Read and accepted Sent down for concurrence.

Mr Cobb from the Committee on Manufactures reported legislation inexpedient on the petition of Nathan Winslow and others. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

The Committee on Engrossed Bills, reported as correctly engrossed; Bill to incorporate the Bangor and Pushaw Canal Company. and the same was passed to be enacted

On motion of Mr Herrick. Ordered that the joint Select Committee, who have under consideration the subject of compensation of County Commissioners, be instructed to enquire, what alterations, if any, are necessary in the laws in relation to County business; with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. Read and passed. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr Talbot from the joint Standing Committee on Turnpikes Bridges and Canals, reported leave to withdraw on the petition of Ezekiel Foster; also on the petition of the Inhabitants or Argyle;
