Afternoon.

Bill to repeal an Act additional to an Act, to regulate the manufacture & inspection of stone Lime, and Lime Casks; read a second time, and referred to the Committee who have under consideration, an order relative to the same subject. Sent down for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Hamlin, Ordered, that the papers relative to the purchase and distribution of Williamson's History of Maine be taken from the files of the Senate and accompany the Resolve now in progress on the same subject.

Resolve for the purchase and distribution of Williamsons History of Maine Resolve for the benefit of the town of Carthage Resolve for the relief of Samuel Leach Resolve on Massachusetts Claim; were severally read a second time, and passed to engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Mercantile Bank; Bill to increase the Capital Stock of the Manufacturers and Traders Bank; Bill for the benefit of the Damariscotta bridge Bill additional to an Act to provide for the packing and inspection of pickled and smoked Fish; were severally read a second time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

The petition of the Directors of the Eastern River Upper Bridge, was read and referred to the joint Standing Committee on Turnpikes
