The Senate resumed the consideration of the Bill, providing for the choice of Representatives to Congress; and the question on adopting the amendment proposed by Mr Drummond being ordered to be taken by Yeas and Nays; was decided in the affirmative, as follows. Yeas, Messrs. Boutelle Burnham Davee Drummond Gibson Hamlin Herrick McLellan Randall Read Scammon Warren 12 Nays, Messrs. Bradbury Emerson Howard Keith Knowlton Pease Smith Webb Williamson 9 And on motion, the Bill was committed to Messrs. Randall and Williamson.

Bill to remove the Judicial Courts in the County of York from the town of York to the town of Alfred. Read a second time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

Resolve in favor of Elisha Hilton, came from the House; the House refusing to concur the Senate in passing said Resolve to be engrossed, insist upon their former vote refusing the same a passage, propose a Conference and appoint as Conferees on the part of the House Messrs. Smith of Westbrook, Shaw of Sanford and Wilson of Bingham.
