32.08 - - State Board of Registration and Examination in Optometry. Created by P.L. 1919, c. 105 [section symbol] 1. Duties - - promulgate and administer rules and regulations necessary to govern the practice of optometry; establish rules and requirements for the recognition of schools of optometry; examine, license and register optometry applicants. Members - - 5 persons who have been resident optometrists for at least five years prior to their appointment, appointed by the Governor with advice and consent of the Council. Duties - - examine and re-examine qualified applicants; issue, suspend, or revoke licenses. Members - - 2 of the Board of Registration in Medicine and 2 podiatrists appointed by Governor with advice and consent of the Council.
