34.09 -- Commissioners to Erect an Insane Hospital. [underlined] Created by R. 1834, c. 53. Abolished by R. 1836, c. 30 and one agent assumed the duties.

Duties -- erect in Augusta a hospital and other suitable buildings to accommodate a Superintendent and 100 luna-tic persons furiously mad.

Members -- 3 appointed by the Governor with advice and consent of the Council.
