I still use that same old pen. When it becomes so blunt that I cannot write legibly, let me know, & I will get a sharp knife, somewhere, & mend it.
Monday morning. 4th. Oct. It rains and I can't gather up [illegible] today. Mrs Arrowsmith has concluded to go back to N. York [illegible] last of this month.
