Bill to incorporate the town of Argyle, came from the Senate that body adhering to their vote passing the same to be engrossed - The House refused to recede from their former vote indefinitely postponing the same, and the question was taken by yeas & nays as follows yeas 60 nays 63. See appendix page and then the House adhered to the same.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill - to change the names of certain persons - to establish the Bucksport & Prospect 'Ferry Company - additional act regulating elections - further to regulate the jurisdiction & proceedings of the Courts of Probate } - directing the manner in which District School meetings maybe called - to prevent the destruction of Moose & Deer - to regulate the taking of fish called Salmon, Shad & alewives in the Sebasticook river in the town of Clinton - additional act respecting Enginemen, Fire Engines & the extinguishment of fire - to annex part of the town of Topsham to the town of Bowdoinham - to incorporate the Indian Island manufacturing Company - requiring commanding officers of Independent Companies to give notice to commanding officers of standing companies of enlistments into such independent company - directing the manner in which District School meeting may be called - additional act extending the powers of the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court in Certain cases - to divide the town of Mount Desert & incorporate the town of Cranberry Isles - authorizing the Court of Sessions for the County of Cumberland to lay out a road over a creek, or arm of the sea in Freeport which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.
