The Secretary of the Senate laid upon the table a list of unfinished business referred from the last to the present Legislature - read and laid upon the table till the Joint Standing Committees be appointed.

In Convention. Agreeably to assignment, the two House of the Legislature met in Convention for the purpose of electing seven Counselors and a Secretary of State. Messrs Clark and Fish of the Senate and Messrs Smith of Westbrook, Allen and Tuttle of the House were appointed a Committee to receive, sort and count the votes for Counselors; which Committee, having attended to the duty assigned them, reported that the whole number of votes is ----- 195.
