On motion of Mr Talbot, Ordered, that Messrs Talbot Latham and Benson be a Committee to receive, sort and counts the votes for President; who having attended to the duties assigned them, reported that the whole number of votes was 24. Gentlemen of the Senate, I receive this renewed and distinguished proof of your kindness and confidence with feelings of deep sensibility and gratitude.
