Bill to establish a Seminary for the purpose of promoting useful learning and the better qualifying of primary School Teachers, Resolve for the endowment of the Maine Teachers Seminary, severally read the second time and recommitted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill to establish the Belfast and Quebec Rail Road Corporation came up from the House further amended. The House rejecting the amendment proposed by the Senate marked G after the word "Rail Road" in 5th Sec. 52d line as follows, to wit: "and to pass thereon with their engines and cars, subject to the rules and regulations of this Corporation ceting [?] their own cars upon the same part of the road, and paying the same freight and toll as would be required for the cars of the corporation. And the Legislature, at any time hereafter when any branch Rail Road shall be connected with the Belfast and Quebec Rail Road at any point, may authorize the proprietors of the Belfast and Quebec Rail Road under such regulations as may be thought Proper." Mr. Fish moved to recede and concur. And the question of receding and concurring in rejecting said amendment, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit: Yeas. Messrs.
