Friday March 11, 1836.

Order from the House of Representatives, directing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of providing by law that Sheriffs and Deputy Sheriffs shall leave written or printed abstracts of their fees with persons upon whom they serve writs or collect executions - read and passed in concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives, instructing the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions to inquire into the expediency of further providing by law for regulating the location of School Houses - read and passed in concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives appointing Messrs Soule of Freeport Wilson of Bingham, and Bunker of Cranberry Isle a Committee, with such as the Senate may join, to ascertain when the Legislature will have so far accomplished the business remaining before it as to have a recess and report as soon as may be --- read and passed, and Messrs. Frye, Robinson and Talbot are joined in concurrence.

Petition of B. C. Bailey and others, praying to be incorporated by the name of the "Merry Meeting Boom Company" - read and referred to the Committee on Interior Waters, in concurrence.

The Senate reconsider their vote of yesterday whereby they nonconcurred the House in the reference of petition of Ezekiel Foster and others, and refer the same to the Committee on Interior Waters in concurrence.
