�March, Monday, 23. 1863

We are not going to the Regiment before to morrow ave have been in Camp here and had a drill with Carbines at 2 oclock in the afternoon. and a short drill at Saber exersise. the weather has been cloudy.

Tuesday, 24.

did not go to the Regiment to day. could not go for we had drawn 5 day. raitions of forage for our horses. and could not haul it to the Regt. so why we do not go the Regt. is to stay till the horses eat the forages. The weather has been cloudy agein to day.

Wednesday, 25.

We joined our Regiment to day down to Belle Plain Landing. abought 10 miles from Stafford Court House. got to the Regt at 1 oclock. went to work and fixed us up some tents.

March, Thursday, 26. 1863

In camp to day. discharged our Pistols. and Carbines. to clean them for Inspection The weather was pleasant to day.

Friday, 27.

To day ave drilled in the forenoon. in quarters the the rest of the day.

Saturday, 28.

In camp to day. did not drill eny. to night most of the Regt was detailed to go out on Pic ket guard. and stay 10 days. I & men from my co: are detailed & among the rest. we are, to go down the river 13 miles from Camp
