Mr. McIntire has leave of absence from and after Thursday next, during the remainder of the session.

Mr Kelsey, from the Committee on the State Prison, reported legislation inexpedient on an order relative to appointing a Committee to examine into the concerns of the State Prison - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill to encourage the culture of Silk within this State was taken up, and this afternoon at three o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Bill to incorporate the Medomak Bank came up from the House passed to be engrossed - and the same, on motion of Mr. Fish, was laid upon the table.

Bill to incorporate the Globe Bank, -"- to incorporate the Ellsworth Bank, -"- to incorporate the Damariscotta Bank, -"- to incorporate the St. Croix Bank, severally came up from the House, passage refused, and the same, on motion of Mr. Fish, were laid upon the table.

Resolve authorizing the Secretary of State to procure and distribute certain Documents (reported by Mr. Kelsey from the Committee on the State Prison, on an order relative to that subject) was read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
