Bill to establish a Seminary for the purpose of promoting useful learning, and the better qualifying Primary School Teachers came up -- the House, insisting on their vote of Yesterday, propose a conference. Mr Fish laid upon the table the following communication of Joseph Kelsey member of the Senate from Penobscot the ninth Senatorial District to wit: "To the President of the Senate: Having been appointed agent for the Penobscot Tribe of Indians, and it being necessary to enter upon the duties of that office, I therefore respectfully tender my resignation of the office of Senator for the County of Penobscot. I have the honor to be your obt. servant. Joseph Kelsey." Which resignation was read and accepted.
