Said discharge is dated Augusta May 19. 1862. discharged "by reason of Surgeons Certificate of Disability." signed. J W T Gardiner Maj Com U.S.A. "Nason B Cunningham." a private of Capt Sunomans Co (E) 6th Me Reg claims to be absent by reason of a discharge, said Discharge is date Aug 17. 1861. "by reason of Sickness" signed Abner Knowles. Col 6th Reg Me Vols - is well and able to work - R.P. Grindle, a Private in Co (H0 4th Me Reg - claims to be absent by reason of Discharge - said discharge is dated Alexdria June 6th. 1862. "by reason of Surgeons certifi cate of disability by order of Genl Wadsworth.") there is no Signature to the discharge at the bottom is {Surgeon of U.S.Army} but no name above it.
