as shall not have returned to their company; at the expiration of the number of days limited in the Furlough, are to be mustered as Deserters on the Day of the expiration of such furlough, unless the officers of the company can certify to your satisfaction, that the person absent, has reasonable cause of absence, such as sickness, lameness,or some other such like cause, Which you will note in the remarks.

As soon as the Regiment or Corps is mustered, you will rectify all Mistakes in the Rolls & take a short abstract of the State of the several companies, or if is I am present at the Muster, deliver them to me, to be abstracted & then return them to be copied and sworn to, by the Captain or 1st lieutenant & the next officer in Command present at the Muster.

You will demand a roll of the field Staff & commissioned officers of the regiment from the Commanding Officer thereof which is to be drawn agreeable to the norm here within.
