Our Co with to others guarded the ordin-ence trains over the Antietem mountain 10th We marched across the Antietem creak, and thru out skirmishes and advanced in line of battle. Quite sharp picket fireing. took some prisoners and got some men wound-ed. Our Co went on picket at night. 11th We skirmished until three oclock then joined the brigade and advanced in line of battle two miles and compassed skirmishing. A shower came up and we was relieved by the third eagle. We moved back a short distance and camped in line of battle. I got a letter from Levant and Larisa informed me of Luncinda Fellows death. 13th We lay in line of battle and it is a rainy day. We struck tens and went in front of and breast works, and a detale from our Brigade and went on picket
