193 Bangor Apr. 10th 1863. Gen. Hodsdon Dear Sir I became much prostrated from a camp malarial fever accompanied by severe cough so that I obtained leave of absence and have been at home some more than two weeks. I am gaining some, but am yet very feeble and fear I may not be able to resume active duty in the field for a [reason- ble?] week. [Through/though?] [ ] intend to start for the regt some time next week. as I suppose Dr. Main is now sick at his house in Unity and Doct. Bl[ ] sick in Boston, at [ ] the was latest account from [ ] Dept. [ ]
