Bangor March 16th 1862

Sir

I am one of the 2d Maine Vols. who was captured on the 21st of July last and was released on the 17th of Jan last, therefore I have not received the $5 and some odd cents due that regiment by the State of Maine, and I should be greatly obliged to you if you could inform me what measures to take in order to obtain it.
