discharge, although he has been condemned by the Drs. who pronounce his case liver complai- mt, and discarded lungs- he is a noble boy- was among the first to enlist in his country's service and thinks if he could even get a furlough and come home, he would soon be able to again join his Reg't I ask pardon for this appeal, this interruption, but ,y son is sick, and suffering, unfit for duty and he writes me that he knows not to whom he could apply for a discharge, I knew of none but you if anything can be done if you can do anything for him- that is obtain his release from a place where even a strong man would soon die, do it and God will bless you
