On motion of Mr Mace of Lisbon,
[certain officers of U.S. not to hold offices under this State] Ordered, that Messrs Mace of Lisbon, Hilton of Gerry and Myrick of Hebron be a committee with such as the Senate may join to take into consideration the expediency of passing a Law prohibiting every person who may hold an office under the Government of the United States from holding any office under this State (Post Officers excepted) with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. Read and accepted. Sent up for concurrence.
