[Convention to qualify Counsellor] "Mr Speaker, The Senate propose a convention in the Representatives Chamber at 11 oclock this day for the purpose of qualifying such Counsellors elect as may be present - and also of choosing a Treasurer of State — & then withdrew

[Choose. Treasurer.] The House concurd and the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.

[Bill - to annex Harlem to China —] Bill to annex the town of Harlem to the town of China was reported with an amendment which was adopted — and then the Bill was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Committee - on subject of imposing a fee on State & Town offices for neglect of duty about elections &c] On motion of Messrs Barnard of Dixfield Ordered, that Messrs Barnard of Dixfield Dyer of Vinalhaven & Head of Waldoboro' be a committee to take into consideration the expediency of imposing penalties on Selectmen of towns and assessors of plantations and other officers of towns and plantations for neglect of duty in the election of State & Town &c &c officers as prescribed by the Constitution of the State, with leave to report by bill or otherwise — read & passed.

[Report on Pet. of Timy Wolcott] The committee on the petition of Timothy Wolcot reported a resolve — which report was read and accepted.
