[Leave of absence] Mr. Sargent of Sullivan has leave of absence for four days.

[Committee on Treaty with Penobscot Indians & c] Ordered, that Messrs Emery of Portland Hammond of Elliot, Tuck of Fayette, Parsons of Edgecomb & Spofford of Deer Isle be a Committee to examine the Treaty with the Penobscot tribe of Indians communicated yesterday by the Governor and report whether it ought to receive the ratification of this State and what measures shall be adopted to carry the same into effect. Read and passed.

[Petition of R. Elder & wife] Petition of R. Elder and wife praying that their marriage may be made valid. Read and committed to the joint standing Committee on New Trial. Sent up for concurrence.

[Bill - Divorce] The Bill in the 3d reading regulating Divorces was agreeably to assignment called up and on motion, the further consideration of it was postponed to Friday next at 10 o clock _ 52 pro. 50 con. [&c] Ordered That the Clerk of the House of Representatives cause to be printed tow hundred copies of the 3d Section of "An Act regulating Divorces" as amended for the use of the Legislature.
