Journal of yesterday read by the Clerk.

[Report - fish]

Committee to whom was referred the bill (returned by the Governor with his objections to approving the same) "to provide for the packing and inspection of pickled and smoked fish" report a new Bill upon the subject embracing different principles, having the same title - which is read 1st 2nd & 3d time and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Resolve - providing for commissiones [?], under the act of Separation.]

Resolve providing for the payment of the Board of commissiones [?] under the act of Separation, which passed to be engrossed on the 17th Inst. is called up and the vote passing the same reconsidered: & the resolve committed to Messrs Clapp, Redington & Hall, for the purpose of introducing some new provisions which seem necessary to give the Resolve the effect intended.

[Committee - on compensation to Committee on accts]

Ordered that Messrs Vose, Virgin & Dunn of Cornish be a Committee with such as the Senate may join to consider what compensation ought to be allowed the Committee on Accounts for their services during the present session of the Legislature with leave to report by resolve or otherwise. Read & passed.

Immediately on motion the vote passing the preceeding Order is reconsidered and the Committee discharged.
