and Resolutions adopted by the Legislature of that State on the subject of nominating candidates for the office of President and Vice President of the United States, instructing their Senators, and requesting their Representatives in Congress, to use their best escertions[assertions] to prevent such nomination being made by Members thereof, in caucus during the present session".-
