64 [1822 Jan, 14] Monday January 14, 1822 [Report on S. Hadlock petition] Mr O’Brien from the Joint Standing Committee on Interious Fisheries reported that the petition of Samuel Hadlock be referred to the next Legislature - Read and accepted - Sent down for concurrence - came up concurred [Order respecting Statutes of 1820 &c printed by order of State] On motion by Mr. Wheeler - Ordered that the Secretary of State be directed to lay before the Senate a statement of the number of copies of the Laws of the State passed during the years 1820, 1821 which were ordered to be distributed - the number of copies contracted for by the Committee authorized to contract for the same, and the terms of the contract - and the number of copies that have been delivered at the Secretary’s office in pursuance of said contract - [Order as to publishing Laws &c of present Session] Order of the House that Messrs Adams, Sands and Eames, with such as the Senate may win, be a committee to consider and report in what manner the Laws and Resolves passed the present session of the Legislature shall be promulgated - with leave to report by bill or otherwise, came up for concurrence - Read and concurred and Messrs Seaver and Bond were joined on the part of the Senate. [Report of Board of Jurisprudence] The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table the following written message from the Governor, to wit

“To the Senate and House of Representatives - I have received from the Board of Jurisprudence, through the chairman thereof, a Report of their doings under the Resolve of March 8, 1821, which for the information of the two houses I lay before them - As there has ben no appropriation for defraying the expense accruing under aforesaid Resolve - I suggest to the Legislature the expediency of taking that subject into consideration - Albion K.
