Camp Rice near Fort Corcoran Va Arlington Heights Augt 18, 1861

Sir.

I send you descriptive list made up as far as we have it -

Senall P. Bonder joined the Regt May 13th 1861 at [Willets Point - crossed out] Portalnd. Was not Sworn in at Bangor. He Recd no bounty + has recd. no pay. from the State or [Genl.] Government. He was killed at Bull Run July 21, 1861 + was a good soldier. So says Capt [Tilden] of Co B. His relatives are at Castine.

I wish to call your attention to the fact That Faldenie Parady of Co. K 2nd Regiment Maine Vols. was enlisted at Old Town by B.W. Hoskins July 3rd 1861 started from Bangor July 4th 1861 + recd no bounty - can it be arranged

to have his bounty paid over to his wife at Old Town

if so, please have it done. through the Selectmen of the Town or some responsible citizen. If it cannnot be done there. please have his bounty paid to him here. Parady is doing duty. had nothing to do in the revolt. but [grumbly] because he has not [read bounty]. he says Genl Stevens told him he could get it here

[Yours] [truly] John E Reynolds [adpt]
