Bangor

June 19th, 61

Dear Sir,

I forgot to mention in my letter of yesterday that Dr. Allen would like to have a revolve[?], Those intended for the staff have never been received and as Dr Allen has as yet no sword, he is entirely defenceless [defenseless]. The staff revolves[?] were stolen or left at Portland. We have not seen them since we started

There is a soldier belonging to the 2d Reg. now in the jail of this city [for safe keeping] waiting for, a chance to go to Washington his name[?] is John Roach. There is also a who deserted at Newport. Willet or Willard is his name. I will arrest him and take him on to Wash. if you wish it.

Very Respectfully

Your

Augustus Hamlin
