One Gentleman I believe
took the responsibility of telegtraph -ing you to send on some one to look after the interest of the Regiment. I didn't thank the gentlemen for his interference + his action was wholly uncalled for.
In a military point of view,
I am sensible of my inexperience, but in other aspects I consider myself, with the assistance of my Staff, amply competent to look after the interests of this Regiment
The General [?word] has done everything
for us that we could reasonably expect. It is true we have had
