210 Mr Swan laid upon the Clerks table the following order, which being read by the Clerk was unanimously passed - vis,
Ordered that the thanks of this House be presented to the Hon. John Ruggles, Speaker, for the able & faithful discharge of his office; that this House, duly impressed with the responsibility & importance of the various duties incumbent on the Chair consider this public expression of their approbation, as justly due for the impartial and dignified manner in which its laborious duties have been performed; and that he will please to carry with him, on his return to his family & constituents the best wishes of the members of this House.
