225 [1823 February 4.] [Pet. Benj' Shaw & als] Petition of Benjamin Shaw and others respecting the fishery in Newport committed in the House to the Joint Standing Committee on Interior Fisheries, came up for concurrence, and was read concurred.

[amendment proposed in the Bill for districting] Mr. Dennett from the Committee to whom was referred the engrossed Bill relating to the districting of the State for the choice of Representatives to Congress &c. reported an amendment by striking out the second section of the Bill, and inserting a new one instead thereof; which was read and accepted: and A message was then sent to the House informing them of said amendment and requesting their concurrence therein.
