41. the committee on the incorporation of Parishes. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of the Selectmen of Cherryfield to herhave their doings made valid, came from the Senate nonconcurred & referred to the Committee on New Trials for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Petition of Betsy Randall for a divorce, came from the Senate non concurred & referred to the committee on New Trials for concurrence and the House concurred.

Petition of the Hallowell and Augusta Bank for a renewal of their charter - was read & referred to the committee on Banks and Banking. Sent up for concurrence.

A message was received from the Senate informing the House that they had added Mr Stebbins of Lincoln to the committee on State Lands.

Message from the Governor - A message was received from the Governor dated January 12 1825 on the subject of the States Prison (see appendix page 224) which was read & referred to the Committee on so much of the Governors Message of 5th inst. as relates tot eh States Prison - and said committee were authorized to publish such part of the documents on the subject as they may consider important to the public.

Ordered that the committee on New Trials be instructed to consider what alterations if any are necessary in the Law entitled "Qn Act to establish a Court of Common Pleas" so far as said act relates to costs in appeals from said Court of Common Pleas to the Supreme Judicial Court - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Adjournment to meet at nine o'clock tomorrow morning.
